IFRFlyer: I earned my private pilot license on a rainy Friday the 13th in December of 1991. I later obtained an instrument rating after getting fed up with being stuck on the ground too often due to the common morning and afternoon low clouds (aka "marine layer") in San Diego. I have just over 500 hours of flight time, half of which are in N3SK.
